We are accredited by The Joint Commission. In addition to caring for general rehabilitation diagnoses such as orthopedic, amputation, pulmonary rehab, brain injury, multi-trauma, neurological disorders, cardiac rehab, dysphagia, rheumatoid disorders, myopathy, and industrial rehab, we offer a specialized inpatient program for stroke.

All patients admitted are required to meet 3 hours of therapy 5 days/week or in special circumstances 15 hours 7 days/week with documentation why on a 7-day plan. This is a regulatory requirement and productivity expectation is based on that.

Educational Requirements
Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or a foreign degree equivalent as accepted by US Citizenship and Immigration Services or a Bachelor's Degree or foreign degree equivalent plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.

Wolfson Children's Rehabilitation provides comprehensive, family-centered services to children from infancy through adolescence who have neurological or musculo-skeletal impairments due to injury, illness or congenital developmental conditions. We have a job opening at our Lake City specialty center, just one hour north of Gainesville, Fl.

The overall goal of our service is to help children function to their full potential in their everyday life activities. We accomplish this through a multi-disciplinary approach which includes occupational, physical and speech therapists as well as maintaining close contact with other medical professionals on the children's medical team.

Our therapists provide services within the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, inpatient services for all of Wolfson Children's Hospital and outpatient services in satellite clinics. Together, our therapists treat a wide variety of medical and developmental diagnoses and conditions that include:

Arthritis (juvenile rheumatoid arthritis)
Brachial plexus injury
Cerebral palsy
Craniofacial disorders
Cognitive and perceptual deficits
Developmental delays
Down syndrome
Fine and gross motor coordination deficits
Hand injuries
Language/learning disorders
Muscular disorders
Neurologically based disorders
Oral/motor, feeding and swallowing disorders
Orthopedic conditions
Pain management
Autism
